Hi, I’m Jonathan.

I started Wooden Cross Media because I got tired of seeing Peoples message get missed by the Audience because of AV companies treating people like numbers and not people.

I’ve worked doing live theatre, entertainment, photography, videography and corporate events for the last four years. Most of my background is in live audio, but I’ve done a bit of everything — running cables, mixing shows, setting up cameras, running lights, and technical directing events with over 1,500 people in the room and 150+ online.

And the thing I keep coming back to is this:

It’s never just about the gear.

It’s about the person on stage trying to say something that matters.

It’s about the family watching online who couldn’t be in the room.

It’s about the speaker who has put hours into a message and just wants people to hear it properly.

It’s about making sure the moment actually lands.

Some of the worst events I’ve been to are the ones where you can’t hear what someone is saying, the stream keeps dropping out, or the tech feels like it’s fighting against the person.

But the best ones?

The Gear disappears and the person connects.

The person on stage feels close. The sound is clear. The camera is in the right place. The emotion comes through. And people leave remembering the message, not the tech.

That’s what I’m trying to build here.
